
My Cousin Vinny is a comedy about two young guys, Bill and Stan, who are on a road trip when they get arrested in Alabama for a murder they didn’t commit, and so they turn to Bill’s cousin Vinny, who is a lawyer, but he has never been in court and so is very much out of his element in a murder trial, and so he struggles to prove their innocence against overwhelming evidence. It’s the classic ‘wrong place at the wrong time’ story. It is directed by Jonathan Lynn and stars Joe Pesci, Marisa Tomei, Ralph Macchio, Mitchell Whitfield and Fred Gwynne, and is an entertaining film.
